Summary:
I had started painting at the age of seven and since then, have held it as my life’s passion. I majored in Interior/Exterior Design at the University of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt. Over the years, I’ve enhanced my artistic skills with courses in Commercial Arts, Desktop Publishing and Digital Media. In 1982, I was chosen to produce an oil painting of the Canadian Constitution Act which was presented to the Prime Minister, Mr. Pierre E. Trudeau. Since then, I have been painting; teaching art, participating in juried art exhibitions nationally & internationally and have received numerous awards for my artwork.

2001 - Won an award on my painting “The Essence of the Forest” at the 20th Annual ArtEast Art & Photo Exhibition. Also, I was highly acclaimed and won the Viewers Choice Award on my painting “Summer is Here”.
2002 - Won a Jury award (third place) on my painting “Collecting Autumn Souvenirs” at The 21 Annual ArtEast, Art & Photo Exhibition
2002 - Won First Place Award, on my painting “A Sunny Day” with Ottawa Art Association
2003 - Won two awards, First place & Viewers’ Choice on my painting “Strings of Ice” at the 22nd Annual ArtEast, Art & Photo Exhibition
2003 - Won Second Place Award for my painting “Inland Dynasty” with Ottawa Art Association at Ottawa Little Theater
